After taking a few days to campaign in the states vital on Febuary 5, Super Tuesday, Hillary Clinton had returned to South Carolina. US Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton had given voters a simple message: “I’m not a show horse, I’m a workhorse and I will go to work for you.”
This looks to be a veiled jab at rival US Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama. However, if that is the case, it would not be new. It would look as if this is an indicator that it is a plan by Hillary Clinton to push that message on until Super Tuesday.
Clinton came to Greenville to discuss the issue on the economy. The issue on the economy still remains a major concern amongst most voters. A few weeks ago in California, Hillary Clinton gave a similar speech. In that speech, Clinton called for a 90-day moratorium on home foreclosures along with immediate tax breaks for middle class Americans.
When discussing the impact of a lagged economy on American families, Hillary used that opportunity to throw another jab at Obama.
Clinton said: “The American people don’t hire a president to talk about problems, but to solve them, to set a vision for the future and then to roll up our sleeves and get about fulfilling them. It’s time we had a president that leading an economic comeback is a full-time, hands-on job.”
These remarks and jabs towards Obama come two days before the South Carolina primary polls. In South Carolina, Clinton trails behind Obama.
