Home Attendant Care, Inc., located in Northwest Washington State, is inviting local businesses to join their 4th Annual Spirit of the Holidays program. Debbie Gann, director of Home Attendant Care founded the program in 2008 as a way to support both Whatcom and Skagit County charities during the holiday season.
“We are inviting the business community to join us in forgoing traditional corporate gifts and make monetary donations to local charities instead. Together we can make a significant impact in our local community,” says Gann.
Home Attendant Care clients, employees and business associates help choose which charity will receive the largest donation. This year the company has selected to support Whatcom Hospice Foundation, Bellingham Food Bank, Skagit and Whatcom Humane Societies, Blue Skies for Children, and Skagit County Community Action Agency.
Businesses wishing to join the program may contact Home Attendant Care for a customized card insert that can be printed and mailed with their own holiday cards. The insert explains the program and provides recipients the opportunity to select which charity they would like to support.
“Feedback from business associates and clients who receive Spirit of the Holidays info has been overwhelmingly positive, and the local charities are so appreciative of the gesture.”
