Skagit and Whatcom County senior citizens are invited to join Debbie Gann and Jim Darling of Home Attendant Care for an informational workshop focusing on care options available for the elder population. Gann and Darling are experts in the senior care industry with more than 55 years of combined healthcare experience.
“Many of us will one day need to manage care for ourselves or an aging loved one. This workshop brings clarity to the maze of support services available and is beneficial to seniors or family members wishing to explore options,” says Gann.
Participants will learn about alternative living situations, transportation, nutrition, medical services, and in-home care (including home-health and hospice). Information about how to access these services, the costs of each and the role of Medicare, Medicaid, long term care insurance and other funding sources will also be covered.
The workshop takes place on Wednesday, September 19th from 9am -11am at Burlington Senior Center, 1011 Greenleaf, Burlington, WA.
