Around 76,000 people in Hong Kong held a pro-democracy march yesterday afternoon as the local government was celebrating the 12th anniversary of its return to China.
Government statistics show Hong Kong’s jobless rate hits a four-year high to 5.3 percent, and people complained about the government’s poor responses to the crisis.
Democracy has been a bummer to Hong Kong citizens since the city’s return as Beijing postponed the universal suffrage to 2017, five years later than the widely demanded 2012.

It was the second march in Hong Kong this year. In January, League of Social Democrats, a pro-democracy political organization held a bicycle parade.
