Hope for Prostate Cancer patients

An aluminus  of Indian Institue of Science ( IIsc ) and a researcher at the Cancer Centre of the Medical College of Georgia,US , Dr.Arun Sreekumar, alongwith his team 25 researchers, clinicians and bio-informaticians have  achieved a break-through in the diagnosis of prostate cancer.According to him, this was the first metabolic marker which has been identified among prostate cancer patients.Further he says" This study has immense potential in the diagonosis  of cancer and also in the prognosis of the disease.It is understood that the work on developing a diagnostic kit and the licence to this technology has been given to a Michigan based bio-informatics firm.
