Horsely Hills (named after W.D. Horesly, a former District Collector) is a small Hill about 14 km from Madanapalli. It is about 4,000 ft sea-level and, unlike other hills, is covered with thick vegetation. The valley is quite pretty because of its groves of teak, red sandalwood, eucalyptus, gul mohar and mango. The climate is exhilarating, as it is always much cooler than the low country around. Wildlife,like Sambar, hogs, bears and jungle fowl, are found in its ravines. It is a tourist resort.

Madanapalli near to Hindupur. Lepakshi (`painted Eye’) is a small village about 16 km from the Hindpur railway station. From Hindpur, there is a good road to Lepakshi on which many buses ply. At Hindpur as well as at Lepakshi, there are dak bungalows.
