Huckabee Voices Dissatisfaction Over Washington State’s GOP Caucuses

In front of a booing crowd, US Republican presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee who is still in the race was seething as he had expressed outrage at the results of the Washington Republican caucuses. Huckabee had given the description on how GOP hopeful, frontrunner, and statistically inevitable Republican Party nominee John McCain was announced the winner with only almost 90 percent of the votes were counted on the night of Saturday, February 9.

I have never heard of something so outrageous in my life,” Huckabee said to the crowd that booed the results in Washington State. He would add: “Folks, this is America. And the last time I checked, you don’t have an election so that a party chairman could preempt the people’s vote.”

The blog entry was made at 11:59 AM. It is not known whether Huckabee’s lawyers have met with the representatives of the Washington State Republican Party. When the blog entry was posted, it explains that Huckabee’s lawyers were hoping to meet with the state GOP’s representatives.

The remaining GOP hopeful in the race for the GOP nomination had said to reporters that he has asked that the ballot process ballots to be monitored and moderated.

Huckabee also added by saying: “We’ve had a number of reports from people who were at the caucuses in Washington state with some very, very troubling kind of scenarios they painted as to what was happening. People going and being then told they didn’t need ballots, they were just working off the registration sheets. There are a lot of questions to be answered in that particular one.”

Interestingly enough, he did add that the chairman of the Washington State Republican Party had done him a favor that was unexpected. In that regard, Huckabee explains that his supporters were stirred up in a way that was unfathomable.

Huckabee said: “He’s got my folks fired up not just in Washington state but across the country. They’ve never heard anything quite so outrageous. They feel like it’s a poke in my eye. Not just mine.”

Huckabee also said that this was an example on how the regulars of the establishment wanted to say that the game was over and that McCain is the winner and he is the loser. He also added that what happened in Washington insults those voters in the states that did not have their primaries and caucuses yet.
