Rawalpindi, Pakistan
In order to show the unity
with Wall Steet Movement, hundreds of young protestors marched in Pakistani
garrison city of Rawalpindi, near the Capital Islamabad.
Protestors raised
slogans against capitalism, terrorism and religious extremism.
They were carrying a
large banner with the slogan: “Occupy The World”

Review and International Secretary of Pakistan Trade Union Defence Campaign Dr.
Lal Khan and other youth leaders led the rally.
The event was organised
by Jammu and Kashmir National Students Federation, a left leaning body from
Pakistani Kashmir. The office bearers of
NSF and various trade unions spoke on the occasion.
Addressing the rally
author and campaigner, Dr. Lal Khan said
that current uprising in various regions in the world demonstrate evidently
that capitalism has failed to address the miseries of world masses.
“One and half century
ago our revolutionaries and scholars have envisaged that history will see the
debacle of capitalist system. And today’s global resentment and economic
instability has proved the truthfulness of our ideology.”
He said that today
mankind is showing deep anger and abhorrence against capitalist system,
however, this movement needs revolutionary Marxist leadership who can bring
real and pro-people change in world.
In order to show the
solidarity with other anti-capitalist movements, he announced ‘Occupy Kashmir’ drive,
which will mobilise the masses for anti-capitalist agenda.
JKNSF president Amjad
Shahsawar and others vowed to continue their struggle till the achievement of
Socialist revolution in the region.
A representative from
Afghanistan also addressed the rally.
