Srinagar, October 02 (Scoop News)-Blood Donation Camp was Organized by Humanity Welfare Organization HELPline [HWOH] in Degree College Bijbehara, on National Blood Donation Day. Sixteen youth including a physically challenged youth (Staff member of Govt. Degree College Bijbehara) donated their precious Blood. The blood was deposited in the Mirza Mohammad Afzal Beigh District Hospital Anantnag, for free distribution among poor and needy cancer patients.
There was a big gathering of students, college professors, NYK volunteers and staff of humanity Welfare organization HELpline – non governmental organization.
Nusrat Jhavedani the principal Degree college Bijbehara in her inaugural speech stressed on students to be part of every social activity that ensures the social human development.She was of the view that youth should donate blood to save people in pain.
The chairman of the organizing NGO javed Ahmad explained the need of blood donation program during present circumstances. The increase in transport accidents, the victims of bullet injuries, cancer patients and anemic patients need blood and only human body produces blood to save these people in pain.Thus youth should indulge in social work like saving saving human lives and not harm human lives.
14 youth from college mainly B.A/ B.Sc 1st year students and one physically challenges staff member of Degree college Bijbehara and driver of humanity welfare organization HELpline NGO donated blood for needy cancer patients.
Incharge NSS unit Degree College Bijbehara gave the vote of thanks. He assured that college will continue such activities in future also.
