Jammu,August 31(Scoop News)- BJP National President & Member of Parliament Rajnath Singh while addressing a BJP Workers convention at Jammu on Saturday, said that we have come to Jammu not only to deliver verbal lecturers but we have come here to act. J&K is the crown of India and if anybody casts an evil eye on it, BJP will come out to fight.
He expressed concern on the development in Kishtwar and said while it is our responsibility to maintain communal harmony and brotherhood, it is important to ensure security for the minorities in Kishtwar. He called for compensation to traders in Kishtwar on the basis of losses suffered. The administration and police officers also should be booked, he said.
The BJP is always solidily behind minorities in J&K and it will continuously struggle to strengthen nationalist forces in the state.
He also criticized the Omar Abdullah government for encouraging anti-national forces, inability to control violence in Kishtwar and all round failure in governance and rampant corruption. If we come to power, we will further strength VDCs, he added.
Referring to Vajpayee’s initiative and journey to Pakistan he said, the Pak government still did not respond. He condemned Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s decision to hold dialogue with Pakistan under the present circumstances. He said how certain elements in India have the courage to hurl slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad”.
During NDA regime, Pak was given befitting reply in Kargil, but under UPA government, Pak is doing cease-fire violation and China is repeatedly doing incursions through its People’s Liberation Army (PLA). He called for lowering the status of diplomatic relations with Pak till it mends its ways. He also called for nomination of candidates from PoK refugees to 24 seats in state assembly which have been reserved for them but are lying vacant. If BJP comes to power, it will grant citizenship rights to West Pakistan Refugees, he said further adding that we will frame relief and rehabilitation policy for refugees.
He hailed the Panchs and Sarpanchs of J&K for taking a bold stand against militancy and asked why 73rd & 74th Amendments are not being implemented.
He condemned the killing and decapitation of Indian soldiers by Pak forces and called for befitting reply to Pakistan. He said prices were shooting up ever since UPA government took over while price of human life has gone down.
On the occasion four persons joined the party and were welcomed into the party fold. They included Prof. Hari Om, Sanjay Choudhary and Puran Chand.
Earlier, on his arrival at the venue, Rajnath Singh, alongwith other leaders National General Secretary J.P. Nadda, MP & J&K Prabhari Avinash Rai Khanna, State President Jugal Kishore Sharma, Leader of Legislative Party Ashok Khajuria, former State Presidents Dr. Nirmal Singh and Shamsher Singh Manhas, Seh-Prabhari S. R.P. Singh, MLAs Sukhnandan Kumar and Sham Choudhary lighted the traditional lamp and was presented bouquet and Dogra pagri by the State President. He was also felicitated by Kissan Morcha, Mahila Morcha, Yuva Morcha and SC Morcha besides Ladakh students organization. The state party leaders also felicitated the other national leaders.
