While she releases Team, her latest single, Iggy Azalea is in the midst of a battle with illness. On Thursday, the rapper had to call a doctor to her home because she was not feeling well before a day of promotion that coincides with the release of her first single, Team, on Friday, which is the track of her upcoming second album titled Digital Distortion. The Fancy Singer informed the fans of her sickness via Twitter and said that she had had to call a throat doctor. She stated that it would take her a few days to recover, but her vocal cords were doing well and she just needed to take her medicines and rest before performing.
The singer also chose to share a selfie in which she was holding onto medicine. She also announced her cancellation of the trip to the Ultra Music Festival, which begins on Friday in Miami, Florida, because she is not allowed to fly. She told fans that next week, which begins on 21st March, she would be able to perform on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, but her conditioned had worsened when she got up on Friday morning for promoting Team.
She wrote that her entire body felt week and she was fearful that it was the flu. The rapper also said that only her throat had been checked on Thursday because she hadn’t been exhibiting any other symptoms like body ache before that. On Friday, Iggy has got a number of radio interviews lined up for the promotion of her single Team. A dance music video has been used for its promotion. However, the release day didn’t really go well because there were some issues and fans were not able to purchase the song from the iTunes digital store in some areas.
She informed everyone that the video had been uploaded on VEVO while iTunes was working as a snail. Iggy made a joke that something had to go wrong where she was involved. She also assured fans that the iTunes problem was being sorted out and would be fixed as soon as possible. Team is the first single that Iggy has released since Pretty Girls, the song on which she had worked with Britney Spears. That had been released in May of last year. While the track had performed moderately in worldwide charts, it had been unable to reach the top ten position.
