Jammu, 26th January, 2012 : Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM), Formerly RRL, celebrated 63rd Republic Day with great enthusiasm. The main function was held in lawn of the Institute while Dr. Ram A Vishwakarma, Director of Institute, the Chief Guest on the occasion has hoisted the National Tricolour and took salute at the ceremonial march past by the Security men of IIIM and the students of RRL High School.
The function started with the address of the Director, Dr. Ram Vishwakarma followed by presentation of colour full cultural items including patriotic songs, besides bhangra and peace drill which mesmerized the audiences. The skit on communal harmony presented by the students of RRL High School was the main attraction of the function.
Conveying the appreciation of J&K Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, which he had done for IIIM, while speaking on the occasion, Dr. Ram Vishwakarma also congratulated the students and staff of the institute for their work and dedication, which resulted in significant change in the quality of research work in recent past. However, he further exhorted them to still work with great passion as the J&K State has a very high demand of developing Pharmaceutical, Biotechnological, Agricultural and Nutraceutical sectors.
Director, who is also the Chief Patron of Col. R.N.Chopra School Society, also greeted the school children and staff of RRL High School on republic day. Later the children of School were also presented mementos and sweets were distributed among them.
