I’ll Cling To God’s Almighty Hands

Poetry From The Heart

Chorus:

I’ll cling to God’s almighty hands amidst the storms in life
allow His guidance to lead amid trails and all the strife.
I’ll battle the misfortunes as they follow day by day
hold onto His Holy Hands to let Him lead the way.
The light may turn to darkness as storms in life rage but
I’ll cling to God’s almighty hands to sustain in the waves.

Verse 1

When the light turns to darkness and the storm drifts ashore
I’ll cling to God’s almighty hands to protect amidst the storms.
Trials and tribulations may push me to the brink
but God’s almighty hands won’t settle to let me sink.
The world suffers dysfunction and people’s minds are dazed
but God grabs my hand in kindness, pulls me from the haze.

Verse II

I’ll cling to God’s almighty hand amidst the storms in life
He’ll guide me in raging winds that last into the night.
He will not abandon me throughout the angry storm
I’m a child of the King and He’ll guide me ashore.
I once was a lost child out in a billowing sea
tossing and hurling as waves pull the life out of me.

Verse III

I’ll lean on Him to rescue me, free me from the fight
and if I fall and miss the mark, He’ll pick me up alright.
I’ll not give in to temptations and corruptions of daily life
I’ll lean on God’s almighty hands to guide day and night.
I’ll lean on God to rescue me, free me from the fight
if I fall down and miss my mark, He’ll pick me up alright.

Repeat Chorus
