Judicial inquiry demanded against former provincial minister Ibrar Hussain in firing on Markhor case.

CHITRAL: Social segment of Chitral demanded from chief minister KPK Parvez Khattak for conducting inquiry against former minister for environment Ibrar Hussain who opened illegal firing on Markhor at Toshi during his visit to Chitral. Local people also lamented this act and alleged that during that period markhor were also hunted and killed illegally. Although local police arrested two persons from Seenlasht area alleged involved in killing of Markhors but people doubt that may be Ibrar Hussain involve in that case. When this scribe inquired from divisional forest officer Chitral (DFO) for wild life Imtiaz Hussain lal he confirmed that during his visit to Chitral former provincial minister for environment, wild life and forest Haji Ibrar Hussain stayed for some moments at Toshi area where Markhor came down from mountains for drinking water. He said that Haji Ibrar Hussain opened fire on Markhor but he hit a stone not any Markhor. He denied allegations of killing of Markhor.” Provincial Minister Ibrar Hussain opened only aerial firing to analyze that either Markhoer disturbing and fearing by the firing or not but he not killed any Markhor he added.”
A local government official on the condition of anonymity revealed that former Minister snatched Gun (klashankov) from a police constable who was on his security duty and opened firing but at that time he was not looking in normal condition and looking that might he used tranquiller or drunk. But It is worth to mention here that there is no case against him in his areal firing in presence of two dozen people he added. Haji Muhammad Shifa of Drosh while talking to this scribe expressed his strangeness that being a minister how he can snatch rifle from a police constable on duty and how can he open fire on Markhor worth 10 Million as hunting trophy. He said that police arresting poor people even recovering petty illegal things from their posses but kept silent in an illegal act by a provincial minster.
