Disgrace! That’s my one-word reaction to the news: Rihanna and Chris Brown Are Back Together. Chris Brown abuses Rihanna, apologizes, publicly expresses remorse and she wobbles right back into his arms!
What exactly is Rihanna’s problem? Is it desperation? She has got it all: fame, fortune and a free country that fully guarantees her rights and freedoms.
In the Democratic Republic of Congo, women are being raped everyday in the name of the war. From Afghanistan to Zimbabwe, women fight for equality and human rights every single day.
That’s not to say all men are evil. The world crawls with good men. If only the Rihanna’s of this world cared to open their eyes and look beyond the Mr. Right that rules their little worlds! What a world it would be!
The "world" is justifiably disgusted. Where is Rihanna’s self-respect? No woman with an ounce of self respect should ever walk back into the arms of a man who once abused her. No person who cares enough for humanity should accept this.
Violence against Rihanna is violence against women everywhere. It is violence against humanity.
Rihanna has let down millions of fans who supported her through this ordeal. She has betrayed millions of women around the world who are trapped in authoritarian societies and abusive relationships.
If she had ditched Chris, Rihanna would have spoken for these voiceless women. She would have send out to the world an unequivocal message against violence. But she chose to throw away this opportunity in the name of "love". What love? Love is not abusive.
That’s it! I decided to boycott the abusive Mr. Chris Brown’s music after he attacked Rihanna. Now I am boycotting Rihanna’s too.
