Proddatur (GR-TYP-BIN): Dr. Lakshmi Narasaiah said that rural people can positively improve their living standards with the aid of vocational training courses. He participated as the chief guest in the closing ceremony of month-long (from May 28 to June 27) vocational training programme organized by NSS Unit at Vaagdevi Institute of Technology and Science on June 27.
Addressing on the occasion, Dr. Lakshmi Narasaiah said that the people who took these courses should avail them for the growth and well-being of their families. He said that these courses will improve the employability skills and lead to job security.
Principal Dr. N Kumara Swamy said that VITS has been conducting the vocational training courses for the last six years for the benefit of the rural people, especially for women. He said that the courses are not only improving their job-skills but also improving their levels of confidence. Emphasizing that the course of computer programming is helping the entrants improve their literacy, he called upon the rural youth to avail these courses without fail.
Later, Dr. Lakshmi Narasaiah presented mementos and certificates of appreciation to the trained people. NSS Officers Mr. P Peeraiah, Mr. M Naresh Babu, Faculty Members and students participated in the programme.
