IMS Learning Resources, the national leader in the Indian test-preparation industry, has recently launched two centres in Rourkela and Mysore. While the Rourkela centre has already become operational under a new management team, the Mysore centre will be up and running by the third week of March, 2014.
Both centres will focus on imparting training, mentorship and guidance to students aspiring to MBA courses in Indian business schools. The centres will prepare students for the various management entrance tests such as CAT, CMAT / MAT, etc. The centres are equipped with state-of-the-art classrooms and facilities, and expert faculty. The number of students will be kept proportionate to the number of faculty to ensure greater personal guidance. The centres will also hold counselling sessions with the students, as well as conduct sessions on training for group discussions, essay writing and personal interview rounds for the various business schools.
Apart from these, the centres will also focus on training students to build their careers through bank exams like PO and Clerk.
Established in 1977 in Mumbai by Professor N.R. Rane, IMS was the sole pioneer in bringing awareness about management education to the masses. Over the years, IMS has expanded its national footprint, and currently has over 70 centres spread across 44 cities in India, including all the major metros. Apart from training students for various management entrance tests and bank exams, IMS provides coaching for CLAT, BBA and undergraduate courses. IMS also has a Study Abroad section, wherein students aspiring to leading international business schools, such as Harvard, Stanford, Wharton, MIT Sloan, Chicago Booth, etc, are mentored and counselled.
IMS also holds seminars and workshops for its students on a regular basis, in order to build connect between the institutes and the students.
