Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh: Inspite of creating threat in real to much hyped Chinese goonism at International Boarder (IB) across Ladakh region for their unprecedented incursion by visiting the venue in question, army chief’s visit to enjoy dine with governor and smiles with chief minister speaks the story of bravery of Indian army. It is worth shame that instead of place of incursion the army chief is visiting Doad, Akhnoor and Jammu, as if, he is afraid of Chinese army. This is not possible at any case but still the move amounts to laziness of Indian army.

Policy matter of Indians is always different, as it was when in 2008, PM Manmohan was to announce package for Kashmiri Migrants (including Hiindu, Muslims,Sikhs), he did not disclose it in Jammu or in campus where there were the ill fated putting up, he announced in Katra and Akhnoor to ignite people of Jammu against people of Kashmir (migrated).
Similarly, there is no scheme for return of Kashmiri migrants to valley but there is one for terrorists who are well trained and could be risk as per American and Russian foreign policy affairs. However, Army chief will begin his visit tomorrow; undertake a two-day visit to Jammu region to discuss the security situation. General Singh will chair a meeting at 16-Corps headquarter at Nagrota and then fly to forward areas of Rajouri and Akhnoor sectors, where he will be briefed by the field commanders about the security situation and counter infiltration measures.
He will also meet Chief Minister Omar Abdullah during the day and will have dinner meeting with Governor NN Vohra at Raj Bhawan tomorrow. Next day, the Army Chief will fly to Doda region and will be briefed by the commanders of counter-insurgency Delta force.
It is important to mention that a platoon-strength contingent of China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) came 10 km inside the Indian territory in Burthe in DBO sector, which is at an altitude of about 17,000 feet, on the night of April 15 and established a tented post there, according to highly placed sources, who said that a Chinese Army Platoon usually consists of around 50 men( with inputs from PTI)
