Indian Army flags off educational tour under Sadbhavana

 

Jammu/Rajouri, June 07(Scoop News) –District Development Commissioner, Rajouri of Jammu region,  G.A. Khwaja and Brigadier N.P. Singh, Commander 14 Sector Rashtriya Rifles today flagged off an educational tour for 23 children of far-flung areas of Rajouri and Reasi districts being organized by 54 Rashtriya Rifles (MADRAS) under the aegis of Headquarter 14 Sector Rashtriya Rifles/Headquarters Counter Insurgency Force (Uniform).

The DDC asked the students to act as peace ambassador of the state and keenly acquaint themselves with the cultural and traditional ethos of other areas they are going to visit.

The tour, being first of its kind in this year, will provide the children a brief exposure to the development, quality of life and historical places of interest in other parts of the country. The tour will also instill a sense of awareness and national integration amongst the children of these areas.

Speaking on the occasion, the DDC  lauded the initiatives  of army in organizing these tours for the students of these areas and said that  such tours are imperative for the overall development of the  young students. .He said that these endeavors will help the students to know more about the diverse culture and  heritage of India and the development taking place in various fields .

He asked the students to avail maximum benefit from this tour to enhance their information and knowledge.

 The DDC said that the coordinated efforts by the administration, army and police have helped in maintaining a congenial atmosphere in the district for carrying out various developmental projects effectively and expressed hope that such efforts will be strengthened in future.

During the tour, the children will visit Qutub Minar and India Gate at Delhi besides visiting Charminar, Salarjang Museum, Zoo, Hussain Sagar Lake and Golconda Fort at Hyderabad. At Chennai they were scheduled to visit water Kingdom, Marina Beach, Mahabalipuram and Museum.  From Chennai they will reach Banglore to visit Vidhan Soudha, IIM Banglore, Mysore, Brindavan Garden and other parts of the city.
