Indian Army providing quality education in Kargil :Shawny

 

Kargil/Ladakh, April 14 (Anyat Ali/Scoop News) –In Jammu and Kashmir, the 121 Infantry Brigade has reintroduced NCC in Army Goodwill School Harka Bhadur Kargil at High School level.

In a function today 50 Cadets which includes 20 girl cadets participated in a drill in a function. On this occasion the Commander 121 Infantry Brigade Brigadier S K Shawny was the Chief Guest and Col Pankaj Tuknait was the Guest of Honour.

 

Talking on this occasion Brigadier SK Shawny congratulated the students for opting NCC as their discipline in life, which according to him is a great platform for motivating a student towards a disciplined life. He stressed on the need of quality education and briefed about the role of Indian Army in providing quality education in Kargil District. He further adds that a student can use NCC as a platform for their enrollment in the Defense service for which there is no written test in NDA, CDS exams if a student has C certificate of the NCC.

 

Talking to this correspondent the Principal of the School Manzoor Hussain said that in reviving the NCC in the AGS Harka Bhadur the main role is of the Commander 121 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier S K Shawny and said that being a local he appreciates the role of the Commander in providing quality education to the poor students of Kargil.

 

For information AGS Harka Bahadur is a High school which is operated under the Operation Sadhbhavna by the Indian Army and is excelling in quality education as the role of the students has been increased from 60 in 2000 to 250 in 2011.
