Jammu, March 24 (Scoop News) – Indian troops in the Poonch Sector, handed over two young boys to the Pakistan Army, who had crossed over to the Indian side of the Line of Control, in the Naoshera Sector in Rajouri District of J&K on 22 March 2013. The handing over process took place at the Chakan-da-Bagh Zero line at today, Defance spokesman said.
During their stay with the Indian Army, the two boys Rehmatullah aged approx 15 years and Inayatullah aged approx 12 years, both residents of Kotli in POK, informed that they had left their country and deliberately crossed over to the Indian side, in search of employment.
Spokesman said that the Indian Army acted on humanitarian considerations, and a message was passed to the Pakistan Army over the hotline yesterday conveying the intent to hand over the two boys back to Pakistan. A Battalion Commander level flag meeting was held at Chakan-da-Bagh in the afternoon today, wherein the two boys were handed over to the Pakistan Army officials.
The Indian Army acted humanely, by handing over these two young boys safely back to their Pakistani Counterparts, and also presented boxes sweets and sets of clothes to the two boys, as a goodwill gesture.
