India being a very big country has a different kind of culture and food, for example for North India food is different,South India food is different,West India food is different and East India food is different.
In North side most of the food are being prepared in the form of Chapati ( Tandoori Roti ) and Rice and Dal . Black Dal is famous here.Their vegetables preparation are made by Mustard Oil / Dalda .Their food is also very very cheap in compared to other area.Most of the people are non vegetarian but fews are vegetarian.Punjabi food is very much famous particularly Sarson ka Saag , Makke Ki Roti .Punjabi Dhaba is set up different places in the country which are providing very cheap food with good quality.Most of the people who visit in Punjab they prefer to eat this type of food.Kashmir is famous for Kashmiri Pulao and most of the Kashmiris living in cold area are non vegetarian.
In Southern area most of the people’s diet is Rice and Sambar.Apart from this their breakfast is Idli , Dosa , Upma ,etc.
In Eastern side the staple food of the people is Rice , Fish and Dal .In Bengal ,most of the people are eating particular fish that is called Hilsa .Fish is very costly in Kolkata which are coming from different part of the country.In rural area of Bengal,each house has a small pond in which they kept fish and whenever any guest come to their houses they take out fresh fish from the pond and prepare the meal.Besides this, they also taking out fresh fish for their daily food.
In Western area,Maharashtrian staple diet is Jowar Bread which is produced in bulk quantity.The Maharashtrian are very religious,minded people,they prefer not to eat non vegetarian food.Their food preparation are mostly made in Groundnut Oil . Groundnut is mostly used in most of the food items.Puran Poli and Amti are very famous in Maharashtra which is prepared on auspicious occassion.
In most of the country Indian food are very much liked by the people as such a lot of Indian hotels/restaurants have been established.Most of the people like Indian Chicken Curry and Black Dal .
