Indian home Minister’s statement on Kashmir as self-contradictory,confusing,security threat

Jammu, February 18 (Scoop News) – Former Union Minister and the leader of the BJP Legislature Party, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta described the statement of the Union Home Minister, P. Chidambaram, as self-contradictory, confusing and rather misleading.

J&K National Panthers Party also challenged the declaration of P. Chidambaram, Union Home Minister of India as amounting to security threat to the entire country which he made without application of mind and understanding of the ground of realities which have been prevailing in Jammu and Kashmir since the Accession of the State in 1947.

In a statement here today, the leader of the BJP Legislature Party, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta pointed out that the Home Minister himself in same statement has confirmed that there has been big increase in the cross border terror and violence in the recent weeks resulting in loss of life but still supported the controversial move of the state government leaders for return and rehabilitation of ultras who had crossed over to enemy held areas for having trainings and weapons to act against the security and unity of the country.

Prof. Gupta said that the state has been asked by the Union Home Minister to frame an action plan for the return and rehabilitation of those ultras whose number is not known, where they are staying and with what purpose these persons had crossed over to Pakistan and Pak-occupied Kashmir. Moreover, this hypocritic talking is being supported especially when this was rejected about two years back by none else but by the government which was headed by his own party viz the Congress itself, he added and observed that without taking into account the reasons for rejecting the move at the time in the state assembly, Chidambaram himself in a way confessed that the situation has worsened when he quoted during the past six weeks alone there had been as many as 65 incidents of terrorist violence resulting in the death of about of 40 persons including 24 terrorists, seven civilians and nine jawans and officers of the forces. This number is far higher than what it was during the corresponding period two years back when the controversial, rather this pernicious move was rejected on the floor of the state assembly.

Prof. Gupta also questioned the claim of the Home Minister that there would be no compromise with the sovereignty or the country and made a poser that was it not against the law and authority to permit the offenders crossing the borders illegally and going to the camps of those who wanted to break this country and moreso, when there is no let up in the designs of those who have launched a proxy was in this part of the country to break and harm the unity of India.

The BJP leader regretted that the Congress was never having a Kashmir policy and its leadership had learnt no lesson from their follies of the past. They have been operating under communal considerations to pamper the certain leaders coupled with the foreign pressures. But their follies have cost the entire country very dearly, moreso, to the people of this unfortunate part of India where their democratic and other rights have been jeopardized and the nationalists have been made to face communal and regional discrimination at the hands of those who were playing different roles and preaching secession, Autonomy, self rule and what not.

Meanwhile J&K National Panthers Party challenged the declaration of  P. In a statement the Chairman of NPP, Prof. Bhim Singh, has described the neo-policy of the Union Home Minister to import nearly 20,000 Jehadies to Jammu and Kashmir (India) and spend from the State Exchequer nearly Rs.100 millions to nourish and rehabilitate them at the cost of every India citizen and tax-payer as highly prejudicial and threatening to the national security which  Chidambaram intended to defend by putting a blanket ban on the Pre-paid Mobile phones in J&K. Prof. Bhim Singh said that the nation cannot digest such a misadventure which shall repeat the holocaust of the partition of 1947.

He asked the Union Home Minister to give General Amnesty to the Kashmiri boys in J&K and other prisons in India who have been detained illegally for the pleasure of the ruling clique in J&K. He said the Union Home Minister should first resettle and rehabilitate nearly half a million of Kashmiri Pandits in the Valley and those who migrated from hill areas of Jammu province during Kargil War.

Bhim Singh demanded full rehabilitation with social, political and economic rights of nearly 75,000 of refugees who came from the Indian Territory now called, ‘Pakistan’ in 1947. Only because they belonged to a particular community and are being used as voting machines for the ruling parties, they stand fully discriminated. Only because they have not taken up the guns for justice.

Let the Home Minister of India provide comprehensive settlement and rehabilitation of nearly one million migrants from POK who were forced to leave their motherland in 1947 by those who have been trained our boys for Jehad and terrorism.

The Panthers Party Chairman declared that people of Jammu and Kashmir and particularly youth shall not allow anybody to play with their future by resorting to another means of exploitation of the innocent Kashmiries. The Panthers Chairman said that Kashmiries were misled in 1947 in the name of self-determination by Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, again they were exploited by Pakistan in the name of Azadi in 1989 and now the NC and Congress again has shown them heavens in the name of return and rehabilitation.

Prof. Bhim Singh has warned the Union Home Minister to not to treat the citizens of India in Jammu and Kashmir as sheep and goats because we have also souls, hearts and nationalism in mind. He said the people of J&K shall no longer be treated as guinea pigs. Prof. Bhim Singh urged the Prime Minister to convene the meeting of the political representatives of J&K without delay lest the situation blows out of proportion.                                                   www.scoopnews.in
