We have to rise to the occasion and come to their expectations”, he said adding that people want us to raise public issues and resolve the problems in the Assembly and not expect from us to waste the time by stooping to personal attacks and mud-slugging. Maintaining that he is looking forward with renewed energy to serve the people of the State sincerely, Omar said that he has left the episode of allegation leveled against him behind. “I would carry the people, the administration and the opposition along with in my mission to revolutionize the State’s Politico-economic scenario”, he added.
He said that legislators are the representatives of the people and should be role model for everyone so that democracy roots deep and bloom in a healthy and conducive political environment. “We have to strive for this and remove the bad impression about politicians from the minds of the people by rendering stupendous service for the public good”, he asserted.
The Chief Minister said that the decision to resign was difficult but to give respect to the highest office of Chief Minister and uphold high standards of political behavior, ‘it was must to be taken’.
He appealed the people to be active participants in the development process and monitor the works for better results. “My government has a single objective to serve the people and deliver on ground”, he said and added that administration has been sounded in this direction and made aware that public service is the only criterion to judge the performance of government functionaries.
