The world should awaken and sneak into the interiors of the home constituency of former Chief Minister (CM) Ghulam Nabi Azad, i.e Bhaderwah, to find out what development really means. The former CM assisted by other Congress leaders have built media hype for the last three years that massive development has taken place in all the three regions seems to have forgotten the villages of Bhaderwah constituency.
Azad might have done a lot for the people who are already developed or have maximum availabilities required but the there are several villages very close to his home town, the
Inhabitants where have not even seen the electricity till date when politicians are boasting of development.
In Bhalessa belt, villages of Kalthalla, Nalli, Doloo, Klothan, Swarna etc have not been electrified despite the fact that another Congress leader from the same area Mohammed Sharief Niaz remained Power Minister. This is enough to depict their partisan approach to development.
These villages have 350 families who belong to Scheduled Tribe (ST). They have been ignored all the time and their hopes of progress during the reign of Chief Minister from their own area, proved nothing but a hope dashed to ground. For them, obviously, the rulers from Kashmir were a little better and even if they got nothing, an excuse of being ruled by unknown would give them a consolation.
Karim Baksh and Din Mohammed besides other leaders of the area while interacting with Mushtaq Hussain Wani who is campaigning for Master (Retd) Fazal Alam Wani (independent candidate from Bhaderwah constituency), said that they have several times highlighted the issues but no heed was paid by anyone, whether in the past or under their so called own Chief Minister. They said that these political leaders appear at the time of elections and soon after the declaration of results; they disappear, as if having gone into the oblivion. They expressed desire to have a candidate from one of these villages who could be available to them, listen to their legitimate demands and project them before appropriate fora.
