An Indian student from Andhra Pradesh, Soumya Reddy, was reportedly killed by an unidentified assailant in Illinois, US, in the early hours of Sunday.
Twenty-three-year-old Soumya was pursuing MS in electricals at Southern Illinois University in the US and had left in her home in Hyderabad in June , 2007, along with her elder sister Sahaja who is pursuing MS in computers from Governor State University, Chicago.
This is the fourth incident of a student from Andhra Pradesh being killed under mysterious circumstances in foreign shores.
