Jammu, February 14, (Scoop News)-Indian troops foiled an infiltration bid by a group of inflitraters in Poonch Sector in Jammu region a defence spokesman told Scoop News on Saturday evening.
“At about 1045 hours on Saturday, Three to four people were observed crossing the line of control in Poonch Sector from Pakistan side. When these people were well within the Indian Territory, vigilant troops deployed in the area opened fire on them,he said.
He further said, “Simultaneously, Pakistani Post located immediately across this area opened up with heavy unprovoked firing on own troops. During the ensuing fire fight, the persons trying to cross the line of control were observed running back towards Pakistan Side. “
