Indian vultures have recorded the decline in 1226 avian species which are on verge of extinction.The populaion of white rumped vultures found in India,Pakistan and Nepal has declined by 99% since 1992. The total vulture population in India is not more than 11,000.This has been reported by Cambridge based Birdlife International Survey.The reasons are extensive use of chemical Diclofenac which is used as medicine for cattle and feed for birds as major cause for the fall.
