In New York’s primary election on Tuesday, September 15th Nassau County Legislator Roger Corbin (Democrat) was defeated by North Hempstead Town Councilman Robert Troiano. http://www.newsday.com/columnists/dan-janison/voters-reject-criminal-defendants-for-legislature-1.1451418
Corbin is under indictment for lying to federal agents and tax evasion with regard to receipt of 81 checks totaling US$225,000 from a real estate developer who benefitted from the New Cassel Revitalization Scheme. Private property including St. Luke’s Pentecostal Church was taken and given to this person and others. (This is near my home and office). There is no political difference between Troiano and Corbin. Both men live on the same street literally. The Libertarian Party under my leadership defended St. Luke’s.
Troiano will face Republican Derek Partee in this heavily Democrat district. -30-
