Indo-China border issue -Take up issue with China at the diplomatic level:JK CM

Jammu, September 16 (Vijay Kumar): Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday said that India should take up the issue of frequent Chinese incursions in the Ladakh region at the diplomatic level with China in order to diffuse the mounting tensions between the two neighboring countries.

According to a leading news agency of J&K,Kashmir Independent Press (KIP) quoating Omar Abdullah, said, “India enjoys diplomatic relations with China and without wasting any time India should immediately take up the matter at the diplomatic level to sort out the issue.” He was interacting with media persons on the sidelines of an Iftar party at state guest house on Wedensday evening.

Omar said,"Union government has taken serious note of it, i am hopeful India would take up the matter at the earliest at the diplomatic level. " India has a  long standing border dispute with China which is yet to be formalized,Omar said adding, "we cannot snub China ".

It is not a healthy sign for two neighboring countries,"Omar said.

"The state government  has apprised the union government about the ground situation in Ladakh region  for necessary  followup",Omar said in response to a direct question.During my recent visits i have been hearing about incursions by the chinese army,Omar added.

"We want good relations with China. Only dialogue at the diplomatic level would be enough to resolve the issue", Omar said.
