Innovative Student Rental Site Announces Upcoming Launch

1888PressRelease – Student Spaces, a web-based apartment rental site, is set to launch in competitive Texas markets on June 1 and change the way college students search for off-campus housing.

SAN MARCOS, TX – As the real estate market focuses on achieving a rebound, one sector has remained strong and continues to grow: student rental properties in college towns and cities around the U.S. Student Spaces, a pioneering site for student renters and landlords, is capitalizing on the opportunities provided by this unique real estate niche market.

The site, a web-based apartment and property rental resource, is set to launch June 1st, and will initially serve areas located near Texas A&M University, Texas Tech, Baylor University, the University of North Texas and Texas Christian University.

Student Spaces was developed by Nassim Joseph and Katherine Barr. Joseph, a graduate of Texas State University, has been a licensed realtor since 2012. Barr, also a graduate of Texas State, has worked alongside Joseph as an apartment locator in San Marcos, Texas for two years. The recent graduates are utilizing their experiences as both students and apartment locators to provide a comprehensive resource connecting students and landlords, directly and efficiently.

“We understand what college students are looking for in their apartment search, and we cater directly to their needs, which is what sets us apart from any other online real estate resource,” said Joseph. “That’s what is really going to provide value to landlords who use our site to reach students.”

Property owners and student housing providers will have access to a variety of features on the site, allowing them to gain maximum exposure to the student rental market. Landlords receive direct leads, based on the marketing tools and efforts provided through Student Spaces. Student renters will be able to have one-stop access to all of the available properties and communities located around their specific school.

Unlike other online rental resources, Student Spaces doesn’t charge a commission. Instead, landlords select from three packages, offering variable levels of marketing and online features, and pay a monthly fee. The site is free for students.

“This is really the best possible tool for landlords, because it’s extremely user-friendly, but you gain access to a dashboard that lets you manage every single aspect of the rental process, from uploading floor plans, to receiving rental applications and tracking listing success with analytic reports,” said Joseph. “For students the site is great because we’re not just providing a list of available properties in the area-we’re going the extra mile to include what students are looking for, whether it’s proximity to school or their favorite restaurants, search filters related to only student housing, or a way to easily compare available options.”
