Internet: Do you know what is EULA?

Like many people, I was unaware of what was EULA. My only understanding about it was that it has something to do with licensing agreement. well, I believed majority of the Internet users are like that.

EULA is the short form for End-User License Agreement which is specifically for shortware. Well, another question may be posed from the definition of EULA and that is what is the meaning of ‘End-User’? Well, end user are the people like you and me who uses any software. EULA is primarily the agreement between you, the user and the company, the manufacturer or in some cases, the author, in the case of individual developed software.

Well, I believe at this juncture of this report, you would probably have a clue or two what exactly EULA does. For obvious reasons, one of the most commonly seen clauses in a typical EULA would be the prohitbitation of users from sharing the software in question. The software used is an intellectual property and this agreement is there to advocate what can be done and what user cannot do with the software in question.

From personal observation, its seems that not all EULA are the same as some EULA are more customized. Generally, another more common clause found in EULA is disclaimer of any software functioning in a way that is not intended by the manufacturer or the programmer.

Basically, EULA is a license.
