Well seeing as this is my first article I thought I would start with some interesting facts about Internet Radio and mention a few of the popular radio stations online that often get large unique visitors.
A Few Small Facts
- Broadcasting on the Internet is often referred to as webcasting.
- Internet radio websites are usually accessible across the globe. Giving a website more scope to gain further listeners from different areas of world.
- Some major broadcasters restrict listener access to listening in other countries due to licensing and advertisement concerns.
- Internet radios offer news, sport, more variety of music all services that are offered on traditional radio.
Advertising on Internet Radio
With the internet now becoming a more popular domain than ever more and more businesses sought to advertise on the internet. Unlike traditional radio advertising online and on an internet radio is much cheaper and often target wider audiences.
Advertising on internet radio can start from as little as £5.00 a month, this information is based off prices I know of from reputable stations. Always research about the station before taking out any style of advertising and ensure you receive a copy of Terms and Conditions they set in place.
Existing Internet Radio Stations
