Internet: What exactly is PTC?

Introduction of PTC

I believe that many people had heard this abbreviation a lot but do not actually knows what is it. PTC stands for Paid To Click. Well, in another quarter, there are people who knows what is PTC and what are the PTC websites out there, but could not clearly explain what exactly is PTC all about.

Business Model of PTC

As you know PTC is a website which Internet users joined as members and get paid after each click of an advertisement. They will get paid most typically $0.01. As most of the websites are started at US, the denominated currency used would be greenback or US Dollars. If there are sites that promised more than $0.01 or $0.0125 per click, they are most probably believed to be scams.

Why is that so? Many would ask why is it scam when it actually pays more. Please allow me to explain the business model of a typical PTC site. The money that members get after clicking all the available advertisements actually comes from the advertiser. The problem with most PTC sites with the initial hope of being genuines and honest business which eventually turned out to be scam after going off the Internet out of the sudden is that they do not get business from advertisers. What they do to keep their site going is by putting their own advertisements which leds to some affiliated programs which ultimately benefit the PTC site in question. However, most PTC members just click on the advertisements and closed it after the stipulated time is up and their account get credit with the $0.01 or $0.0125 for premium members.

The fee for an advertisement is set at $19.10 in the case for Bux at 1000 visits. There are actually other sites that offer a lesser fee for hosting 1000 visits, but please beware that the PTC site could be a scam. Anything less could means that the business model is not viable at all. 1000 visits would cost the PTC site $10. And in the worst case senerio where all the members who had clicked the advertisement are premium members would cost the site $12.50. So each transaction would make them $7.40 in the worst senerio. Notwithstanding the money earned from selling referrals and premium membership above the primary business.

There are actually many PTC sites that went offline due to one reason or another. But the ultimate factor which I believe is viability of the business. Over the past few months, we have seen PTC sites which are reviewed to be genuine and good going offline like Paid.vg, Bux3 and DaddyBux.

Conclusion

Out of so many PTC sites, I only trust Bux which I got paid for more than 16 times and a substantial amount of money. If you are a member, you would probably realize that this site serves more than 100 of advertisements daily from genuine advertisers. This really is an assuring factor that Bux is going strong. Please be extra careful of PTC sites as it involved great risk when it comes to investing money into them buying referrals. So ‘Click with care’.
