Interview Preparation Part-1

So guys lets start the core activity. Today I will try and throw light on how to start preparing for Interviews:

1.Subject Knowledge:
Hmm so your graduation subjects are not going to leave you even in your MBA interviews. It has been observed that in most of top B-schools for candidates with no work-experience more than 50 % of the interview goes on Graduation Subjects. And candidates with work-ex also are not spared at all and a substantial focus is on grads. Hence it is most important for us to prepare for it.
OF CORSE THE MORE THE KNOWLEDGE THE BETTER IS YOUR PROSPECT OF GEETING THROUGH,
but I will discuss some strategy to maximize the returns.
For the sake of clear strategy lets divide” graduation subject knowledge” in three types:
a. Theoretical knowledge:
Eg: Q. What is MOSFET, Q. What is marginal costing Q. What is adaptation…

 For preparing for such questions, take 3 or 4 of your favorite subjects and try to master them. Make sure you do this. Moreover if you have choices among your favorite subjects, then favor the one which is generic in nature. For example its better to choose thermodynamics as favorite subjects to prepare with than quantum mechanics.
 Subjects in whom you scored high or low marks are important and you may be asked questions from there.
 Try and read first chapter of all the subjects that you have studied, which will gibe a generic idea about your whole graduation.
b. Lab/ Practical/Project/ Internship/Summer Training Knowledge

Eg: How does CRO works? What did you do in your summer training?

 Please revise all the manuals/reports that you have read/prepared

c. Industrial/Real Life knowledge related to your graduation stream
Eg: What is DTSI engine? How does tube light works? Is ICICI a private or public sector bank? What is Duo CORE processor? Comment on India’ Exit policy?
 Try and observe happenings and general objects around and create question yourself .
