IV (INTRAVENOUS) FLUIDS WILL BE EASY TO ADMINISTER NOW
Administering intravenous fluids will be a lot easier now as a young Indian scientist has invented an innovative and ultra modern “intra lock intravenous cannula” removing complications of using adhesive tapes and micropores.
Thirty six year old friend of mine Trebhuvan Singh Raman, who has developed six new medical devices during the last 15 years, said his new intra lock intravenous cannula has been granted a patent certificate recently.
The intra lock intravenous cannula is a soft rubber tube valve fitted structure which overcomes several disadvantages of the existing intravenous cannula. It is more comfortable in handling and removes the problem of using adhesive tapes, micropores or any other supporting thing.
Two of his other devices “blood transfusion set” and “measured volume fluid administration set” have been sent to the United States for international patent rights.
The young scientists another equipment “Ryle’s tube protection belt and Raman’s airways has also been submitted for patenting.
The oropharengial airways (Raman’s airways) is absolutely ultra modern in its manoeuvring technology, according to Raman. It has three openings instead of one and make suctions easily.
His other innovating inventions included micro intravenous fluids administration set and measured volume fluid administration set (burette set).
“All prominent surgical medical equipment and disposable healthcare products I have invented have revolutionary techniques” Raman said.
