Anantnag(Kashmir),June 17,(Scoop News)- South Kashmir Civil Society(SKCS) abhors the wrong, flawed and non-serious policies of state government.
Importantly , crux of education is to give vent to social equality, morality, knowledge enhancement— identification of proper talent and then same taken for the precision— produce bold leaders at every level, however, education is not a ‘ fashion pageant’ it has been observed that most of the teachers have entered into the race of competition in terms of venture, especially females, therefore, SKCS in a statement urges that a proper dress code to teachers at schools/colleges be introduced and implemented in education department mainly uniform, so that people wedded with the noble profession of teaching will get identified and get more respect in the society which they deserve provided they are emotionally attached to the pious cause
At the same time, it is sarcastic that excise and taxation of department is charging undue tax to some items which are meant for free distribution, especially in pharmaceutical line, like ‘physicians sample’ and other promotional material, SKCS said in a statement.
SKCS asked in a statement that , how sales tax authorities are fathoming the cost frequency of items meant for free distribution and which measuring rod they apply—is beyond one’s comprehension.
Equally state government lacks effective, people friendly marketing and pricing laws to fix the rates of food and drug products.
Although, on May 15, 2013 government of India notified the Drugs (Prices Control) Order(DPCO 2013) bringing into effect a new drug pricing policy applicable to 348 formulations—though the pharma industry has remained shock-proof to recession in the past, currently companies in this sector are also facing the heat of slowing economic growth but in Kashmir some pharma companies in camouflage to beat the reputed companies , provide same products at higher rates and go in nexus with some unscrupulous medicos , who violate even their basic ‘Hippocratic Oath’ which they use to take, even there is always a suspicion that a compromise might take with the quality of the drug when it comes to profit making, tragically, government especially health department along with food and drug organization of the state is without any mechanism to check this menace.
As such SKCS demands that modern molecular diagnostic laboratories besides other labs be established at regional level in the state to check the efficacy of the drug and its effects upon the patients.
