International carrier Iran Air’s flight IR-811 made an emergency landing at Mumbai’s airport.
This flight was a Mumbai-Teheran flight and it had to make an emergency landing after one of its engine caught fire. It sought permission for landing from air traffic controllers and finally landed at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai.
According to the airline, a full emergency was declared for the flight. There were two hundred and ninety four passengers on-board and all the passengers were safe.
The incident took place after the aircraft had flown some 90 nautical miles from Mumbai.
