Tehran: Iran is seeking help of Pakistan to free a group of Iranian policemen held by the Iranian Sunni rebel group Jundollah in Pakistan.
The Sunni rebel group Jundollah, which the government of Shiite-dominated Iran has accused of having links with al-Qaeda, abducted 16 policemen in June.
Jundollah, is being lead by an Iranian Sunni Baloch, Abdul Malik Rieki, who spoke on different occasion that he along with his aides are striving to get the minorities their basic rights which are being violated by the Iranian government and he also described the plight of the Sunnis in Iran.
Foreign ministry spokesman Hassan Qashqavi made a request to Pakistan to help free the Iranian hostages, who believed to be held by the group in Pakistan.
