The Brigadier’s revelations follow from Sunday’s report by The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) ‘of high causalties in Aleppo battle’ and that over the weekend the ‘Iranian regime’s forces in Syria suffered heavy blows from Syrian opposition fighters.’
Also adding the ‘Al-Assad’s remaining in power is a “red-line” for Tehran.’
Brig. Gen. al-Batish’s interview comes on the day also that negotiators from the main Iranian opposition group meet in Paris with US Secretary of State Kerry, with Germany also being represented. Discussing the apparatus of political intervention needed in the besieged region around the Aleppo front.
