History is replete with such cases where minority will was toppled by popular will. So, to bring normalcy in Iraq the US and its allies must help in installing a Sunni dominated Government before abandoning the country to its fate.
THE US NOW seems more concerned for the Iraqi Government than in the past. The US General in Iraq David Petraeus and Ambassador to Iraq Ryan Crocker are to appear before the Congress to give their assessment on the US’ policy of “surge” in Iraq which will decide the future course of action.
