CHITRAL: Leaders of Jamait Ulumai Islam (JUI F) lamented irregularities in recent recruitment of Chitral Levies (border Police). Talking to media persons provincial deputy salar of (JUI), Salahudin Tofan, Qari Fazal Haq, Maulana Abdul Sami Azad, Qari Mubarak Khan said that the district administration has published an advertisement in some paper for submitting applications of eligible youth for recruitments in Levies. But dozens of youth were recruited before ending last date of test interviews they alleged.
Showing some papers Salahuddin said that according to their advertisement only 5% quota reserved for employee, sons but they have recruited 500% on that seats and most of them are below height and non qualified.
They demanded the federal and provincial governments for an investigation into the allegations of irregularities in the recent recruitment in the Chitral Levies, formerly border police.
JUI leaders alleged that huge irregularities had surfaced in the recruitment process. They said an advertisement in national newspapers had invited applications for the posts till February 25 and submission of applications was under process and candidates from the far-off areas had reached the Chitral town to submit the forms but all this seemed to be just a paper work as the posts were already filled even before the advertisement was placed in the press.
Candidates in a large number purchasing recruitment forms @ Rs 20 and submitting them but it seems that these are useless because seats have already filled up and this is only formality they proclaimed.
They said the deputy commissioner Chitral, who is also the commandant of the Chitral Levies, had befooled the educated youth of Chitral by inviting them to apply for the already filled posts.
on January 30, at least 35 persons were recruited in the force on the direction of the deputy commissioner office. They said candidates close to government officials and political personalities were inducted on the posts. They asked was it the justice system the PTI government was following.
They demanded the federal as well as provincial governments to immediately terminate all the process and initiate an inquiry against these irregularities which brought a bad name to both the federal and provincial governments, particularly the ministry of SAFRON.
In this connection this scribe contacted Deputy Commissioner (Commandant Chitral levies) Ameenul Haq he also confirmed recruitment of some 80 people before the expiry date for test interview. He said that some 102 staff of border police had been compulsory retired who approached the court of Justice for re-instatement. Hence due to a deal with them they withdrawn their petition from the court conditionally that their sons will be recruited on that vacant posts.
Hence DC could not justify that instead of 5% quota for employee sons why a large number of their sons were recruited.
