Israel launched a double air strike on Hamas targets in the southern Gaza Strip late on Sunday, without causing any injuries, witnesses said.
The two raids near the border town of Rafah targeted installations of the armed wing of Hamas, the Islamist movement that violently seized control of the Gaza Strip in June last year.
The Israeli army, which has imposed a blockade on the impoverished territory in a bid to stop rocket attacks on its territory, had no immediate comment.
The raids took place just days after militants blew open the border between Gaza and Egypt, triggering an exodus of Palestinians desperate to stock up on supplies.
