Only a few hours after Ismail Haniyeh, Hamas leader in Gaza, threatened Israel with a very dangerous “Truce”, a cease-fire which could lead to disastrous consequences for the Israeli and American plans in the middle East, Israeli forces disguised as Arabs killed four Palestinian in Bethlehem.
Two fundamental principles of Isreli/American policy must be maintained:
1/ There can be no peace with, no recognition of, the Palestinian Hamas governments – no negotiations with “terrorists”, and 2/ Palestinian movements, in Gaza, the West Bank, or “Israel proper” must remain under total Israeli control.
The Hamas offer of a truce, a cease-fire, endangered both these principles.
Fortunately, for the continuing war, this grave danger has been averted by the resolute killings of the Palestinians in Bethlehem. The war, further killings, can happily go on.
