Jerusalem: The Israel’s Defense Ministry says that it has successfully tested high-tech system to intercept the incoming rockets.
A ministry statement says the Iron Dome system successfully dealt with the rockets fired by the Palestinian and Lebanese freedom fighter, the test was termed a milestone.
The system can shot down the rockets with an interceptor missile, the ministry officials said that the system well be ready by 2010, the target date for deployment.
The system can shot down the short and medium range rockets that are fired by Hizbullah and Hamas.
Israel is spending more than $200 Million on the system, according to sources.
