The Isuzu D-Max pick-up, which was introduced in India in May 2014, has received the ‘Pick-up of the Year’ award from Apollo-CV this year. The award was presented at an event held in Mumbai, yesterday. Mr. Takashi Kikuchi, Managing Director, and Capt. Shankar Srinivas, Head of Communications, Isuzu Motors India, received the award in a ceremony that was attended by several dignitaries and industry personalities from the CV sector.
Mr. Takashi Kikuchi, Managing Director, Isuzu Motors India, addressed the gathering and said, “We at Isuzu are extremely happy to receive this award. The D-Max is globally known for its versatility and its best-in-class performance. We are thankful to all our customers who have bestowed confidence in us and this award adds reinforcement to our commitment in offering world-class commercial vehicle solutions to customers in India.”
The Isuzu D-Max has a body structure made of high-tensile steel and boasts of a heavy-duty chassis and a large cargo bed to carry very large loads. The look is bold and aggressive on the outside with sophisticated, passenger-vehicle like interiors, that will make the owner proud.
The new D-MAX Space Cab’s has a unique feature – for the first time in India, a completely new concept has been introduced. The D-Max has an extended cabin space of 1.5 feet behind the drivers’ seat, where valuable/fragile goods can be conveniently stored. Other noteworthy features include power steering, power windows, centralised door lock, AC with heater, etc., making it ideal for commercial use in industries like agriculture, retail, dairy, engineering, manufacturing and small businesses. The ISUZU D-Max also claims superior fuel efficiency which has been proven in its test runs in the D-Max “Max run Challenge”, conducted in various parts of the world.
