A new IT partnership has seen the light between Capevo A/S of Denmark and LeadSoft Bangladesh Ltd. for developing internet based systems for sophisticated digital forms.
In many countries in the Western world, customer and citizen service requirements are increasingly handled in digital format through the internet when dealing with organizations such as governmental departments, municipalities, banks, insurance companies etc.
Says Mr. Nils Mandrup, CEO of Capevo A/S: “In the overall Danish Governmental strategy it is the goal of having all relevant communication in digital format by year 2012. This alone will open up for attractive market possibilities for our concept now being developed in co-operation with LeadSoft.”
Mr. Shaikh Abdul Aziz, CEO of LeadSoft, adds: “We are very happy about this chance for us to work together with Capevo as this will bring in new and advanced skills from the Danish side in handling the system development. The partnership with Capevo will not only enable the local software professionals to acquire newer skills, but will take Bangladesh forward in becoming an outsourcing location in computer software and services sector. After a 7 months development phase we expect to create a joint-venture set up in Bangladesh to take advantage of a number of attractive market opportunities coming up.”
The planned know how transfer will be supported by the DANIDA Business-to-Business (B2B) Program under the umbrella of the Royal Danish Embassy in Dhaka. Says Mr. Ib Albertsen, B2B Co-coordinator: “This co-operation is an excellent example of a perfect match between Danish know-how and Bangladeshi IT skills. The projected situation facing many Danish IT companies in the years to come is lack of qualified human resources, which will be an obstacle for future growth. By teaming up with Bangladeshi counterparts the man- power availability is secured.”
B2B is a DANIDA funded program that aims to facilitate in creating long-term commercially viable business collaborations between the companies in Denmark and Bangladesh. By using business linkages as an instrument for economic and social development, the B2B Program seeks to improve living conditions of the people in the developing countries.
The agreement for starting up the co-operation under the support of the B2B Program was formalized through a signing ceremony at the Royal Danish Embassy, Dhaka on the 23rd November 2008.
Mr. Nils Mandrup, CEO of Capevo A/S, and Mr. Shaikh Abdul Aziz of LeadSoft Bangladesh Limited are exchanging the Agreement, while His Excellency Mr. Einar Hebogård Jensen, Ambassador of Royal Danish Embassy looks on.
