Jammu,India,April 12 (Scoop News) – BJP State President Shamsher Singh Manhas today said Jammu and Kashmir is the crown of our motherland and every worker of the party is committed to protect this crown at any cost. He said every now and then, strange developments take place in the state, which pains the nationalist people.
To further boost up the party’s “Mas Contact Programme”, Manhas attended public meeting at Nagbani and Paloura Mandals.Addressing rally, He said, instead of foccusing on the real issues facing the people, parties like NC and PDP have been demanding restoration of pre-1953 position, self rule, autonomy and common currency and the Congress has adopted a complete silence on these demands, which is not a healthy development for the nation. He also took these parties to task for making false promises in their election manifestos in order to seek votes.
He said that be it Praja Parishad, Jana Sangh or the present BJP, we have been continuously fighting against the discriminatory policies of the successive state governments and their attempts to weaken the country’s sovereignty over Jammu and Kashmir.
Extending his party’s full support to the agitating employees, the BJP Chief condemned the imposition of ESMA on these people, who are demanding what they deserve. Every one has a right in a democracy to raise voice for getting of what he or she has been deprived and these employees are not committing any crime by doing so. He asked the government to abandon the path of confrontation and not make it a prestige issue. He said the BJP openly supports these employees and warned the government not to harass them by use of police force and giving inhuman treatment.
Earlier, on his arrival, Shamsher Singh Manhas, MLA Bharat Bhushan, Secretary Surinder Sharma, Distt. President Suraj Padha and Morcha Presidents including Munish Sharma, Chaman Lal Kanathia and Karan Singh were given a warm reception. They were garlanded and offered shawls by the leaders of both the mandals.
Joginder Singh Chib, Sushma Manhas, Hans Raj Manhas, Sukhdev Singh, Swarn Singh Bhau, Mukesh Sharma, Omi Khajuria, Sheela Handoo, Sanjay Baru, Sanjay Khanna, Vipan Shastri and Surinder Choudhary were prominent among those who were present in this meeting.
