Jammu, June 14 (Scoop News)- Stating that the NC-Congress coalition government has lost the mandate of the people in the state, as is evident from their total rout in the LS elections, Jammu Business Coordinate Committee and Business Cell of state BJP have demanded imposition of Governor rule in the state and next assembly elections to be held in October-November under Governor’s rule.
A meeting of the two business organisations of Jammu has said that after their rout in LS election, the two ruling coalition partners NC and Congress are openly fighting against each other, Congress Minister’s in the government are expressing their no confidence in the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, while NC is putting the blame for their defeat in the LS election on the wrong policies of Congress lead UPA government in the centre. Further, there is going on open fight among senior leaders within the NC as well as Congress in the state. The former NC MP Dr Mehboob Beigh who suffered defeat in the recent LS elections has levelled serious charges of nepotism, and financial bungling on the finance minister A R Rother, belonging to his own party. Demanding a thorough probe into these allegations of favouritism and nepotism in filling of posts in J&K Bank and other alleged financial bungling by the Finance Minister A R Rother, Mr Kulbushan Moitra has said that as a results of these infighting, the governance and administration has come to a stand still and the government is working on adhocism. Thus it has no right to continue and must be dismissed.
The meeting of Jammu Business Coordination Committee and State BJP’s Business Cell held here today under the chairmanship of Kulbushan Mohitra also demanded implementation of the agreement reached between the Governor N N Vohra and Sh. Amarnath Yatra action committee, as a result of which the agitation over Amarnath Yatra land row was withdrawn. It observed that six years have lapsed since the agreement was reached between Sh. S S Baloria, as representative of the governor N N Vohra, who was directly ruling the state then and leaders of Amarnath land agitation in 2008, but the agreement reached then has not been implemented. The trading community in Jammu had suffered a very heavy loss and it was agreed upon that they would be compensated for these losses. But no compensation has been paid to the traders for the losses they suffered, due to prolonged curfews during the agitation. Most of the traders have still not been able to stand on their own. Hence this is time when they should be compensated. It has urged the BJP lead government in the centre, to make the state government fulfil the promises made and to compensate the traders.
The others who were present in the meeting included Rajeev Langer, Rajesh Gupta, Munish and Pinki Jain all co conveners.
