A Jammu boy will lead the Indian team in two nation Twenty-20 tri-series cricket tournament to be held from September 13 to 16 at Kathmandu in Nepal, sources here today said.
Jammu boy namely Madan Mohan would be the skipper of the 16-member Indian team participating in the twenty-20 tri-series tournament in senior category to be held at Kathmandu. Besides India, two teams from Nepal would be taking part in the tournament, sources said.
Meanwhile Munish Chib, Amit Gupta, Sanjeev Sharma, Sunil Chopra and Sunil Sharma would be among the cricketers in senior category representing Jammu in the team while in under-19 (junior category), Rawat Singh and Sandeep Saini are the invitees from Jammu in the tri-series tournament, they said.
The senior and junior squads were selected during Twenty-20 cricket tournament held at Dehradun this June while Som Dutt Bhardwaj from Delhi and Aneesh Narula from Uttar Pradesh would be accompanying the team as coach and manager respectively, sources asserted.
However, the team also included cricketers from Punjab (2), Andhra Pradesh (2), Karnataka (1), Gorakhpur (1), Uttar Pradesh (1) and Delhi (2).
The tournament would be organized by the Super Cricket Association of India in affiliation with Asian Super Cricket Association (Hongkong).
